G
Gerald Palmer is the G in GT JAM and the lead guitarist. The G-Man lists Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Wes Montgomery and Stevie Ray Vaughn as some of his musical influences. In the eighties, Gerald played guitar in Run GMC and has played guitar in church for many years. We like to call his style of playing, "in the pocket". With so much music based on heavy guitar chords and solos, Gerald brings a smooth, light touch to his instrument reminiscent of the great sounds in the seventies soul and R&B bands. When G isn't practicing or in the studio with GT JAM, he enjoys spending time with his family, working in the yard and restoring his 1940 Plymouth Coupe. Gerald plays a Fender Strat through a Fender Deville amp.

Born in the early 50's allowed Tom Barsheff to have many musical influences. "My Dad's jazz and big-band experience as a drummer in the late 30's through the 50's was my early interest. Motown, and funky stuff took over and stuck". Tom's music career began in the early 60's starting with an elementary band program, along with jammin' at a friend's basement or party. (which is something he still enjoys today) During his high school years of concert, marching and jazz band, he enjoyed sitting in for one tune, one set or all night. Tom, like the other 4 members of GT JAM felt something missing in today's music and decided to write his own. Being the lead instrument in an instrumental group, Tom lets his sax do the singing (and it does sound like it is singing). "I would like to thank my #1 fan, my wife Fran. Tracy, Tom, my parents, my friends (especially Bob and Sean), my band members and I am sure there are more, for the support to make it possible to do what I love to do". Tom plays a 1964 H. Couf Superba alto, a 1954 Selmer mark VI tenor and a 2006 Selmer Super Action 80 baritone Sax, all with Shure Microphone systems.
"I hope I passed the audition"

John Johnson started playing drums at the age of 7. His first band, "HUGG" was a glam-band with fog, pyrotechniques, and 10 minute drum solos (very 70's). In the 80's he played in a friendly dance band called, "Fullgainer". For the past 20 years John has also worked as a mobile disc-jockey. He longed to form a band that would replace what is missing in todays music; Soul. " I am fortunate to be surrounded by a talented group of players, who feel the same vibe". John lays down the backbone of funky, sexy grooves which is synonymous with GT JAM's sound. John's style of drumming is a blend of the music he grew up with, like The Beatles, Motown, Chicago, Elton John, Santana and 70's R&B. His favorite drummers include, Graham Lear, Jeff Porcaro, Harvey Mason and Nigel Olssen. John plays DW drums and Zildjian cymbals.

Arthur S. Longue`mire has played the keyboards for most of his life. His many bands include, The Last Generation Band, The Chance Band, Ray Starr and the United Funk, DZRA and The Solid Rock Gospel Singers. We love Art's description of GT JAM's style: JAZSORYTHMIC! (jazz-soul-R&B) with a hint of funky-rock. It dares you to realize and enjoy your very own concept of "pleasure music". Art grew up listening to the sounds of, The Dramatics, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Spinners, Hall and Oates and AWB. He lists Steve Ferrone, George duke, Stanley Clark, and Roy Clark as influences. His most studied band was The Tonight Show Band led by Doc Severenson, as the musicians were mature, professional and played with an up-to-date enthusiasm and class. Arthur plays Yamaha, Kurzweil, and Kawai keyboards.
M
Marco Franco plays the 5-string bass. His stylings cannot be described, you just have to hear them with your own ears. People say, "What was that?", and you can tell them it was Marco. He is the GT JAM practical joker, always doing something to someone. Marco has played a variety of music such as Blues, Funk, Jazz, Mexican, and Contemporary Christian. Marco plays Paul Lariot Bass
